What to Expect
Delivery Coverage
For many customers within certain regional distances, delivery may be included with your barn purchase. If you live within driving distance of our major service locations, you may qualify for free or reduced delivery rates. Contact us for an exact quote based on your location.
Site Requirements
All barn deliveries require a clear entrance with enough space for our trucks and trailers. In most cases, we need:
- A gate or opening at least 2 feet wider than the barn
- Approximately 14 feet of vertical clearance
- A clear, level path to the installation site
If you have questions about whether your property meets the requirements, we are always happy to review photos or plan a site visit before scheduling delivery.
How We Deliver Modular and Prefab Barns
We use specialized delivery trucks and trailers that are designed for safe barn transport and precise placement.
Heavy-Duty Trucks
For smaller barn sections
Tractor-Trailers
For longer or multi-section barn deliveries
Hydraulic Systems
Allow smooth and controlled unloading
Built-In Winch
For controlled placement and precision
Most deliveries are handled by a single experienced driver who is trained in barn transport and setup.
Delivery Steps
Here is what you can expect on delivery day:
Arrival at Your Property
Your barn arrives securely loaded on a specialized trailer.
Positioning the Trailer
The driver backs up to your prepared site or as close as feasible based on access.
Hydraulic Lift Unloading
The trailer is raised using a hydraulic lift. This allows the barn section to carefully slide off the back of the trailer.
Controlled Placement
Using a built-in winch system, the driver slowly advances the barn until it rests partially on the ground. The truck then pulls forward so the entire structure slides gently into place.
Final Adjustments
If slight repositioning is needed, the rear platform on the trailer can shift the barn left or right by up to 2 feet before full placement.
Leveling and Inspection
Once the barn is set on the ground, the driver levels the structure and shims the corners as needed. All doors and windows are checked to confirm they open and close correctly.
Your barn will be ready for use as soon as the delivery and leveling process is complete.
Site Access Requirements
To ensure a smooth delivery, please prepare your site ahead of time and confirm that our truck and trailer can reach the installation area.
Access Requirements Include:
- A stable, relatively level route to the site
- Sufficient space around trees, fences, or other structures
- A clear entrance wide enough for the barn size
- Overhead clearance of 14 feet
- A level pull-out area of at least 50 to 60 feet beyond the barn pad for unloading
General Guidelines
For a 10-foot-wide barn: 12-foot gate opening
For a 12-foot-wide barn: 14-foot gate opening
If the gate or fence is 8 feet tall or taller, add two additional feet of width
